The Role
This is more than plumbing—it’s about bringing the 1-Tom brand experience to life at every doorstep. You’ll be both a trusted advisor and a skilled technician, guiding clients through a process of diagnostics, solutions, and service. Every interaction is a chance to build relationships, generate revenue, and deliver peace of mind.
In your first 12 months, you’ll focus on:
Compensation: $30.00 per hour
Since 2019, our independently owned & operated Long Island, NY organization has provided valuable and varied services to local home owners, businesses, and property managers. Our reputation in the marketplace continues to build, as we are known for high quality work and extraordinary client experiences. We are fully licensed as Home Improvement Contractors in Nassau, Suffolk, and NYC serving the Residential & Commercial public alike.
Our local brands serve many needs on Long Island, particularly:
1-TOM-PLUMBER (Farmingdale, NY)
The plumber whose name is his number! Our 24/7 emergency response business model separates us from the crowd, as we are literally always on standby to prevent flooding and stop plumbing problems in their tracks. From drain cleaning to water leak repairs and everything in between, "Tom" is only ever a phone call away.
UNITED WATER RESTORATION GROUP (Islandia, NY)We specialize in 24/7 emergency service response for water damage, fire & smoke restoration, hazardous clean-up, asbestos and mold remediation services. As major-league cleaners and problems solvers, we navigate insurance loss projects from start to finish.

- Diagnosing, recommending, and selling solutions that empower clients to make confident, well-informed choices.
- Hitting revenue goals, consistently producing a minimum of $35,000 in sales per month.
- Participating in the after-hours on-call rotation, responding quickly to urgent plumbing emergencies.
- Maximizing daily opportunities through clear communication with the operations and dispatch teams.
- Caring for your tools and truck, ensuring equipment is clean, maintained, and ready for action.
- A growing base of loyal customers who rave about their 1-Tom experience.
- Reliable monthly revenue production of $35,000+ tied to diagnostics, recommendations, and completed work.
- Quick, professional response to emergency calls that earns trust and repeat business.
- Smooth daily coordination with dispatch, ensuring schedules and service calls run efficiently.
