SUMMARY OF POSITION 
Kinsley is actively recruiting full-time experienced Industrial Pipefitters. The job entails working in diverse industrial and manufacturing settings, with tasks ranging from machinery installation and complete facility relocations to plant maintenance and renovations, and upgrades to water/wastewater treatment systems.
 
Successful candidates will be stationed at Kinsley&#039;s Field Operations office in York, PA, while also being required to travel within the mid-Atlantic region for project assignments. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be able to read and comprehend drawings, piping schematics and system designs.
Will be working with a wide range of materials including PVC, HDPE, copper, steel, stainless steel and ductile iron.
Undertake maintenance and repair activities for existing process systems.
Prioritize and uphold a commitment to working safely, utilizing provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and adhering to all safety rules and procedures.
Contribute to the implementation of safety methods and practices within the work environment.
Can work independently with little to no supervision.
Perform other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS 


A high school diploma or GED is mandatory; additional secondary education is appreciated and will be factored into the determination of the pay scale.
3-5 years of relevant experience is a prerequisite for this position.
Proficiency in comprehending construction drawings is essential.
Possession of a valid Driver’s License is a requirement.
Familiarity with or a willingness to learn and adhere to OSHA and MSHA safety regulations is crucial.
Strong math and problem-solving skills are fundamental.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude for daily customer interaction.
Ability to be a self-starter, working independently with minimal supervision.
Capacity to multitask effectively in a high-speed environment.
Physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
Comfort and experience working at heights.
Willingness to learn and/or assist in other trades.
Flexibility to work some weekends as needed.

Our competitive wages and Incentive Zone Pay program help ensure employees are fairly compensated based on where the work takes them. Kinsley offers an Incentive Zone Pay program for hourly field employees, providing additional hourly compensation based on the distance traveled from an employee’s home address to the job site (up to $5.00/hour), on top of base wages.

 Job Summary
Summary:   The Plumber Apprentice performs a variety of Plumber maintenance duties for the facility’s Maintenance Department, and is assigned to work for a Plumber Senior Technician on a regular basis.  The Plumber Apprentice associate is in an apprentice program guided by his project manager, mentor, supervisor and apprentice advisory training committee.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Identifies the location of leaks and make repairs.
Repairs or replaces parts.
Determines the equipment, tools or materials needed for tasks.
Solves simple plumbing problems.
Maintains OJT logs, performs rounds, and completes maintenance work orders, tests, and inspections.
Maintains facility and campus grounds, shops, and mechanical areas in a clean and safe manner.
Attends classroom a minimum of 144 hours per year.
Learns and utilizes the site CMMS.
Updates work statuses and documents tasks completed in the CMMS utilizing a mobile device in real time.
Performs other duties as assigned

 
Qualifications:

Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be registered in a Plumber Apprentice Program with USDOL.
Rudimentary ability to utilize hand-operated construction equipment.
Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds and kneel/bend/stoop and perform strenuous labor for extended periods of time.

 
Working Conditions:  

Some exposure to elevated degrees of high heat, noise, dust, dirt and/or areas requiring infection control. Requires meeting deadlines for completion of work on a daily basis. Must be able to work all hours, including weekends and nights, as necessary, in order to maintain facility at the appropriate and safe level.

We are seeking a motivated Plumbing Helper to join our growing team. This position assists licensed plumbers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and light commercial plumbing systems. The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn the plumbing trade, and committed to providing excellent customer service while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.Key Responsibilities
 Assist licensed plumbers with plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance.
Transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites.
Help install water heaters, faucets, toilets, sinks, piping, fixtures, and drainage systems.
Cut, measure, assemble, and prepare pipe and plumbing materials.
Clean and organize work areas before, during, and after each job.
Load and unload company vehicles while ensuring proper care of tools and equipment.
Assist with diagnosing plumbing issues under the direction of a licensed plumber.
Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
Communicate professionally with customers while representing the company.
Complete basic job documentation and assist with updating work orders using Service Titan or similar software.
Participate in training and continue developing plumbing knowledge and skills.

You will be a member of our multi-disciplinary team and will work under the direction of a Certified Plumbing Designer or licensed engineer. Projects may include new construction and renovation in educational, healthcare, corporate commercial and science and technology.

Perform and direct design of ductwork, piping and equipment selection for plumbing and fire protection systems independently on assigned projects. Complex projects could be under the supervision of a professional engineer. As necessary assist with HVAC Designs.
May supervise or provide project management direction within the mechanical discipline to include the monitoring of project progresses and project budget.
Prepare Revit/BIM modeling of construction drawings of plumbing and fire protection systems from schematic design to construction administration phases including layout, sketches and detail drawings as required. As necessary perform Revit/BIM modeling for HVAC systems.
Edit specifications relating to existing or new projects.
Independently research as need arises and respond to emergent issues.
Specify mechanical equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air handling units.
Review shop drawings for compliance of specifications and contract documents.
Interface effectively with clients and members of the project team, attend Owner, Architect, Construction Administration (OAC) meetings with an understanding and focus on the project budget.
Respond to RFI’s and review of change orders in the preparation of construction documents.
Conduct job site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress. Attend and participate in construction meetings. Site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of site.
Coordinates work activities on specific projects with several persons with various levels of capability; participates in business development and marketing activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.



HERE&#039;S WHAT YOU&#039;LL NEED

Associate degree in a relevant field required.
Minimum of 6+ years of related experience required.
Current CPD, PE or FPE in the United States preferred.
LEED accreditation preferred.
Must possess a working knowledge and experience, while still acquiring higher level knowledge.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to effectively handle multiple projects.
Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit, Trane Trace or Trane 3D Plus) required.



 

The salary range for this position is $84,200 to $105,200. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. We offer a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances. The Pipefitter/Plumber will duties associated with maintaining pipe/steam systems, to include install, repair, maintain, and replace water/steam lines, valves, radiators, heaters, storage and condensate tanks, steam traps, control valves, fittings, expansion joints and steam pressure systems.  Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance. ​Typical Responsibilities: Plan piping/tubing system layouts, installations or repairs according to specifications. Modify, clean, and maintain pipe/steam systems, units, fittings and related machines and equipment, following specifications using hand and power tools. Install, repair, maintain, and replace water/steam lines, valves, radiators, heaters, storage and condensate tanks, steam traps, control valves, fittings, expansion joints and steam pressure sytems.Measure and mark pipes for cutting, threading and welding. Ability to use tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, benders, and welders. Reads blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water, steam and waste distribution systems. Selects and inserts precut pieces of a variety of tubing, pipes and fittings in holes. Connect tubing/piping and fittings using solder, glues, torch, to form sewer, drain, and water/steam lines.Remove and replace worn components. Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipe lines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation or other methods.Install/recondition small steam/hot water boilers and auxiliary equipment.Work in cooperation with other trades and laborers to ensure that all specifications, procedures and policies are met, to ensure efficient completion of any project. Provide adequate services, to ensure that all water/steam systems and waste drains are installed, repaired and maintained to meet all standards of building codes safely. Maintain record of time and materials used on jobs and complete job orders.Work under general supervision and from oral instructions, preventive maintenance program plans, work orders, emergency calls, layout sketches, blueprints, drawings, specifications, or similar guidance. Use various plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, monometers, etc.)
Demonstrate respect and compassion when communicating with clients on work performed and on recommendations for repairs or replacement
Lead and mentor plumbing apprentices by providing training, assigning tasks, monitoring performance
Document details on all calls including estimates and recommendations
Complete all tasks per company quality and safety standards

Qualifications &amp;amp; Requirements

2+ years of residential plumbing installation experience
Previous experience as residential plumber
Experience with re-pipes, drain/sewer systems, water heaters, and residential plumbing installations
Knowledge of boiler piping, circulator pumps, expansion tanks, and zone valves preferred
Proficient with PEX, copper, PVC, ABS, and cast iron piping
Knowledge of local plumbing and mechanical codes
Journeyman license is a plus
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to work cohesively with team members, apprentices, and management
Strong communication and professionalism with customers and team members

Work Environment
Works in field environments across residential job sites, climbing ladders and navigating uneven surfaces. Regularly works in confined spaces and moves materials up to 50 pounds. Operates hand and power tools and vehicles. Must be able to see, hear, and exchange accurate information with customers and team members. Regular exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and dust. JOB DUTIES

Installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial plumbing fixtures, equipment and services
Determines general condition of all plumbing equipment, can troubleshoot plumbing malfunctions, and determine the extent of necessary repairs
Works with and understands blueprints, schematics and job specifications as it applies to your craft
Identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing repair projects
Use the Straight Forward Pricing Guide, accurately present repair or installation options, and complete safety inspections

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

3+ years of residential plumbing experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Background check and drug screening
Clean driving record, valid driving license
Ability to communicate effectively to clients about issues and provide accurate solutions

Inspects high pressure, air, steam, water, and gas systems to ascertain malfunctions.

Interprets drawings and specifications to determine layout requirements.
Reviews blueprints, building codes or specifications to determine work details and procedure.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must have a minimum of 5 years of verifiable plumbing experience in a residential service and maintenance operation.
Knowledge of local and national plumbing codes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
Basic change order cost estimating experience.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

Utilizes Straight Forward Pricing correctly on each call
Wears floor savers while in the client’s home and maintains a neat work area while performing a repair or scheduled service
Tests each aspect of the job before leaving a home to make sure everything is working properly. Ensures the job was indeed completed correctly and eliminates unnecessary callbacks after the job is finished
Explains each service performed to the client each time a maintenance or repair is completed. Ensures clients are 100% satisfied with all work
Conveys a safety-conscious attitude, both on the job and while driving
Maintains cleanliness inside and outside of vehicles at all times
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Junior Plumbers are considered training/apprentice level and typically do not operate their own truck
Lead/Master Plumbers are considered senior level and typically operate their own truck
Lead &amp;amp; Junior Plumbers must have applicable certifications and licensing required by their state of residence
 


          Compensation: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
