Journeyman Plumber

Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a regional provider of skilled commercial services specializing in retail, grocery, and convenience stores. We deliver commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and remodels, supported by 24/7 emergency response and comprehensive preventive maintenance programs. We are currently seeking Journeyman Plumbers to join our growing commercial plumbing team. 

The ideal candidate will have a background in commercial new construction or tenant improvement projects. This position works Sunday through Thursday, 3rd shift (10:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.). 

Responsibilities

• Demo and install plumbing piping, including PVC, ABS, cast iron (no-hub), and/or copper
• Mount new fixtures according to manufacturer specifications and applicable municipal codes 
• Install and service grease traps, sump pumps, sanitary waste systems, water systems, and utilities within a commercial retail environment 
• Perform manual labor to clean and prepare jobsites, including (but not limited to) digging trenches, setting braces to support excavation sides, erecting scaffolding, and removing rubble, debris, and other waste materials 
• Properly use equipment such as jackhammers and saw cutters 
• Read and layout work from blueprints, plans, and isometric drawings 
• Work in accordance with current OSHA safety guidelines and company policies 
• Drive company issued vehicles in accordance with company policies 
• Willingness to take on additional duties as needed to support the department

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of recent and relevant commercial plumbing experience
• Valid driver license with no more than two points or driving restrictions on the driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Verbal and written English literacy for the use of cell phone and mobile email communication
